- Scrum Master (Optional)
- Stakeholders (As required)
Time-box
This ceremony has a time-box of 15 minutes. In cases where any topic needs detailed discussion then it would be great if team members agree to connect later. The follow-up meeting should be held among only the required attendees to save other’s valuable time.
The daily scrum meeting should take place every day, preferably at the same place and same time.
Three important Questions
The entire Scrum team gathers in a room or common space and answers below three questions –
- What did I do since the last DSM?
- What will I do until the next DSM?
- Do I see any impediments?
The DSM is an opportunity for the team to ensures transparency and stay aligned to the sprint goal. In a way, the scrum team re-plans their further work either by raising impediments or by identifying the next steps for the next working hours.
